I'm attempting to keep a complete log of my running. Below is an embedded reference to an online spreadsheet document:

Morning Time

For the last little while, probably since I ran the St. George marathon, I have been starting my morning with a little walk.  It started out a half mile walk around the most inner part of our neighborhood.  It quickly turned into a mile, and now most days I walk about 1.5 miles.

It's pretty refreshing.  But starting to get colder and colder.  We'll see how long these walks continue with winter coming, but then I'll have to find something to do between 6 and 7 AM.

Deb usually gets up with me before I leave for work, which is nice.  In fact she'll probably be up any minute.

Running

I love to run.  Theoretically I could use this blog as a means to track my running progress, goals, and challenges.  I don't think I'll do that, but maybe I'll write about what I did yesterday.

I don't consider myself overweight, but I do like to be able to look good.  Running is my other motivation to loose weight.  Keeping an extra 5 pounds off can be the difference between a great run and an inspirational run.  So I've tried to keep my weight around 170 with the ideal goal weight at 165.  Well today I weighed 175 ... Ukkk.  This last round of Halloween and family parties has given me an excuse to overeat.  But not really.

So yesterday I did pretty well.  Ate fresh fruit in the morning, salad for lunch.  Even went for an afternoon run for 5 miles at a 7:24 pace.  Dinner wasn't too bad either as I had a yummy Mexican salad Deb prepared.  And then, I got weak.  We we're having some guests over to play ping pong (sweet sweet ping pong).  Deb made some incredibly awesome cookies, and I could help but eat 3 (possibly 4).

Not too bad of a day, in reality.  But If I want to meet my goal, I "better be better".

So what's up with Hot Coflet?

So, I was born and raised as a lover of hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate and alway will.

At this point you may have pulled together what it all means. Since I was also born and raised to avoid coffee, and yet somehow knew I loved the taste of it. I concocted a hybrid version of this wonderful drink. Actually it's postum and hot chocolate powder, mixed with some boiling hot water.

Hmmm ... Hot Coflet!
